T minus 10 days…

It is finally here…the year we go on our Disney vacation.  We booked the resort in February (11 month booking window for DVC members).  We borrowed points and we were able to book a 2 bedroom Villa (with full kitchen) at Animal Kingdom for 6 full days.  Our itinerary is:

January 11th – flight leaves at 10pm from Seattle and we arrive at Disneyworld at 6am on January 12th

January 12 – 17th – Disneyworld

January 17th – 20th – 3 night cruise on the Disney Dream to the Bahamas

January 20th – 22nd – 2 nights at a Cocoa Beach hotel right on the beach…gotta relax before we go home.

21351030003We really thought we would be in a better financial situation at this point, but so far, it isn’t looking to great, so I guess we don’t eat out much and take lots of pictures because pictures are free.  We don’t care though because we will be enjoying Mickey Mouse and all that comes along with that. 

This is where I will be posting pictures of our trip and various thoughts about our happenings.  I love doing it this way because it is easy to deal with the pictures and write out what we are doing. 

Our first visit to Disney World was in 2010 and we had such a great time.  It is a huge resort with hwy’s running through it.  The park is 30,000acres and is home to four theme parks, two water parks, twenty-four themed resorts (excluding eight more that are on-site but not owned by the Walt Disney Company), two spas and fitness centers, five golf courses, and other recreational and entertainment venues.  Do you think that is big enough?  We probably will only do 2 theme parks though (Animal Kingdom and Epcot).  We have our lifetime to check out everything yet.

I did our grocery order today and so when we arrive, we should get our groceries.  We plan on cooking 6 breakfasts, 5 dinners, lunches and snacks.  I think I have it all ordered correctly.   I have the menu all done too, so it should go smoothly.
